Truly the most authentic Indian food I have had in the United States. The food deserves 6 stars out of 5. The restaurant owner and staff are very courteous and took care of us like family. Everything we ordered were authentic, the sambhaar served with the dosas reminded me of my childhood days, similar flavors as the one my grandma used to make. There is a lot of attention to detail on each food on the menu. My family had a very enjoyable evening thanks to the team at Masala Harbor Hope to return soon next time I am in staten island
Excellent service with attention to detail This new and needed restaurant gave me everything I needed in my quest for fine South Indian dining on Staten Island. The food was amazing and plentiful, the friendliness of the staff was outstanding and, on a cold December night 12/4/24 I absolutely needed the warmth from both the staff and the meal that I received from Masala Harbor. I will definitely be returning...as a regular
Today I went to Masala Harbor. What a surprise Staten Island finally got an authentic restaurant to enjoy the south Indian dishes. Tried Dosas, Goat dum Biryani, vegetable Kothu. Sambar, potatoes, all chutneys were delicious . Must visit for variety of North Indian, non veg dishes. Friendly atmosphere.
We really needed a good Indian restaurant on the North shore of Staten Island. Finally we have one. We have been there three times already. All three times we had not been disappointed. First time we ordered Chilli chicken, Medhu Vadai for appetizers and Biryani, Masala dosa, Uthapam and Rava dosa. Everything was fresh, not greasy and tasted very good. So we decided to go back on a Sunday to try the Thali. Came with biryani rice, white rice and naan. Also, Chicken or fish or goat curry, chutney and rasam. It was a lot of food. I brought the leftovers home and enjoyed it the next day. The rasam was flavorful, not very spicy either. On the third visit we had chili chicken, shrimp for appetizers and noodles, parartta, Chapatti and fish curry. The food is very good. Guaranteed that you will not be disappointed. Mani, one of the partners, is friendly and has the experience of running multiple Indian restaurants in the past.
I was there yesterday we had chicken 65, Fish curry, rice, and bread. The food was authentic and tasty, with good portions and reasonable prices. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
